Parotodus Benedeni Pendant with Turquoise Inlay - 4
Take home an incredibly rare Parotodus benedeni fossilized shark tooth pendant. The Parotodus benedeni is an extinct type of shark that is also known as a ‘false-toothed mako.’ These teeth had enlarged root lobes and thick crowns, which researchers believe they used to crush and tear apart their prey.
Our Parotodus Benedeni is polished to a high shine to really bring out the colors. The tooth features a unique array of colors and an inlay of turquoise with pyrite specks. Grey, black, tan, and even a little blue are found in the accents of the fossil. The shark tooth measures approximately 2 3/8 inches along the longest edge. The bale of this shark tooth pendant is heavy gauge sterling silver wire.
