This Spinosaurus Fossil Tooth ages approximately 100 million years, and was found in the in South of Taouz in the Moroccan Sahara. It measures 1 3/8" long.
Spinosaurus is believed to be a semi-aquatic, large meat-eating dinosaur found in Africa. This giant predator had relatively short legs, a wide paddle-like tail and finely serrated, round teeth that filled a long crocodile-like snout. Because they lived primarily in and around water it is assumed that they likely hunted fish and other marine prey. The distinctive back-sail could have been used to control temperature and/or for display for various reasons.
