Shark tooth necklaces have been worn for centuries by everyone from ancient Hawaiian warriors to surfing pros. They always serve as symbols of masculinity, strength, and bravery. Shark teeth are interesting pieces because of the nature of a shark's mouth.
Sharks are one of few animals that grow and lose teeth throughout their lives, and because their mouths hold up to 3,000 teeth at a time, that means they lose some 35,000 teeth over their life. For this reason, shark tooth fossils are plentiful, but that doesn't make them any less cool!
Each shark tooth necklace features a fossilized Moroccan sand tiger shark tooth. Surrounding each tooth are black ceramic beads, silver beads, silver skulls, and end coils, which keep the bead from shifting along the 2mm black cord. The necklace ends are secured with metal end coils and close with a lobster clasp. The cord is 18". Please allow for some variation in your fossil as they are natural pieces that vary from tooth to tooth.
