Few things start a conversation like a fossilized Otodous megalodon tooth. Megalodon means "big tooth," and this tooth is certainly not small! The megalodon is a species of shark that roamed the oceans between 2.6 to 25 million years ago.
This megalodon tooth fossil measures 5” from the corner of the root to the tip of the blade on the longest edge. The crown is a beautiful, jet black color with a matte black root. It features good enamel, defined bourlette, intact root and serrations along both edges. Given the shape and size of this tooth we think it is a lower jaw tooth from an extremely large megalodon. What a beauty!
This tooth has not undergone any restorations, repairs, or modifications. Bring home this amazing piece of natural history today and dazzle all your friends!
