Trilobites were a successful species of marine arthropods that lived abundantly beginning over 500 million years ago during the Paleozoic era. Trilobites died out approximately 251 million years ago in the Permian mass extinction event that effectively ended approximately 90% of all species on Earth. Trilobites were so prolific their fossils can be found all over the world to this day coming in a wide range of sizes and varieties.
These specimens were sourced from Morocco and average about 400 million years old. One of these little guys would make the perfect gift for any fossil lover, new or old. P.S. They make great pets!
