Shark teeth are a symbol of good luck and strength. The word mako comes the Māori language and means either a shark tooth or the shark. The modern mako measures approximately 10 feet in length and has been recorded swimming at 42 miles per hour! That makes the mako the fastest of the sharks.
This fossil mako tooth pendant measures approximately 2” from tip to corner of root along the longest edge. The root is black with a crown of taupe with golden highlights. The colors and shape of this tooth make it quite an elegant pendant. The bale is made gold fill hard wire.
Although a chain is not included, Whaler's Locker has a fantastic selection to choose from on this link!
