Black coral has been the state gem stone of Hawaii since 1984. Being that the Hawaiian islands are quite young in the timeline of the earth we have very limited resources on land. What we do have is an abundance of is a vast underwater landscape rich in life forms of all shapes and sizes. Because of this our own highly specialized team of divers delve deep into the Au’au channel for this unique and stunning material for our state gemstone.

Lālani is a Hawaiian phrase that translates to the “reflection of the Milky Way”. Our composite jewelry allows us to use all of the coral tree wasting nothing from the harvest of this protected material. We use the tiny branches that form along thicker stalks in combination with turquoise, lapis lazuli, spiny oyster and sterling silver shavings set in .925 sterling silver or 14kt gold plate on .925 sterling silver to create a truly remarkable collection.
