Shark teeth are a symbol of strength, intelligence and perseverance. The modern mako measures approximately 10 feet in length and swims up 42 miles per hour making it the fastest shark in the ocean. The word mako comes the Māori language and means either a shark tooth or the shark.
This tooth has a nice contrast from the deep brown root to the lighter, mottled crown. This striking fossil mako tooth pendant measures approximately 1 5/8” from root to tip on the longest edge, by just over 1” wide at the root. Bale is made from heavy gauge gold fill hard wire.
The shark tooth shown is the exact tooth you will receive. Although a cord or chain is not included, Whaler's Locker has a fantastic selection to choose from on this link!
