Baltic Amber is 40 million year old fossilized tree resin from the Baltic Sea region of Eastern Europe. For an unknown reason, the pine trees began to produce resin in excess, which, over time, the resin fossilized. There are many ancient myths regarding this amber, how it came to be, and why. At Whaler's Locker we love anything with a history, and Baltic amber certainly has an interesting one.
With Baltic amber, sometimes the bigger the piece, the better. That holds true for this piece, measuring just under 2" in length by 7/8" wide. The honey color of this piece makes it easy to observe the dazzling inclusions. Set in a .925 sterling silver frame with petite floral embellishment makes this piece an instant charmer!
This piece is unique, and the one pictured is the exact Baltic Amber pendant you will receive. Chains are sold separately here.
