Whaler's Locker is so excited, and extremely grateful, we can share our Great White Shark Fossilized Teeth with you. These Chilean specimen teeth are phenomenal, and thankfully, had not made it into the shop prior to the Lahaina fire.
Our Chilean great white fossil teeth are really the crème de la crème of fossil great white teeth. They were hand-selected just for us by our longtime shark-tooth-guy, Mark. Trust me when I say, this guy knows fossil shark teeth! Not to mention that teeth from Chile are highly valued and sought after due to the fact that since 2006 the source of these pristine fossils has been closed to fossil hunters.
There are few animals that have the power, intelligence and longevity of sharks. The sharks we know today have ancestors that lived approximately 100 million years ago. In our modern world, the shark of all sharks is Carcharodon carcharias, better known as the great white. Recorded in a maximum known length of 20" with possible bursts of speed at 35 mph and a huge mouth containing approximately 300 individually serrated teeth, it's not hard to understand why they are the current king of sharks.
Our amazing A+ grade Great White Fossil Teeth are sourced from Chile and average about 5 million years old. Don't miss out on this very special, limited collection!
