If you love dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures, you have to have this fantastic sculpture! The Deinonychus gets its name from the Greek words "δεινός deinós," meaning "terrible," "ὄνυξ ónux," meaning genitive, and "ὄνυχος ónuchos," meaning "claw." This species lived roughly 115 to 108 million years ago during the early Cretaceous Period and grew up to 11 feet long. Fossils from the Deinonychus have been found in Montana, Utah, Wyoming, and Oklahoma, as well as teeth, believed to be from the dinosaur as far east as Maryland.
Our Bronze Deinonychus Sculpture is handmade by Nelson Maniscalco, an award-winning sculptor who specializes in bronze.
